Underwater Labs

A high-tier offshore monument with procedural layouts, tight corridors, keycard modules, and strong risk-to-reward loot potential.

Underwater Labs

Overview
#

Underwater Labs are procedurally generated monuments located deep offshore. Each lab is built from connected modular sections, meaning no two layouts are identical. Some are compact and quick to clear, while others are multi-level complexes with multiple puzzle rooms and narrow transition sections.

Access is gained by diving down with scuba gear or arriving via submarine, then entering through airlocks into pressurized interior sections.

Once inside, the environment shifts from open ocean to tight corridors, partially flooded chambers, stairwells, and secured loot rooms.

General Info
#

Underwater Labs are considered high-tier monuments and can rival Oil Rig in total value when fully cleared.

Typical features include:

  • Multiple military and elite crate spawns
  • Locked crate spawns in some layouts
  • Keycard puzzle rooms depending on module configuration
  • Modular layout with vertical sections
  • Limited and predictable entry and exit points

Loot density varies significantly depending on the generated layout.

Loot
#

Common loot found inside Underwater Labs:

  • Military crates
  • Elite crates
  • Locked crates
  • Tier 2 and Tier 3 weapons
  • High quality metal
  • Tech trash and advanced electrical components
  • Scrap
  • Keycards and fuses in applicable layouts

Some labs are ideal for quick surface-level clears, while others reward full systematic runs.

Layout
#

Underwater Labs are built from connected modules. These typically include:

Entry Airlocks
#

Pressurized transition chambers connecting ocean access to interior corridors.

Flooded Sections
#

Rooms partially or fully underwater that require oxygen management.

Dry Corridors
#

Tight hallways linking loot rooms and stairwells.

Vertical Stair Modules
#

Multi-floor sections that act as narrow transition points.

Puzzle Rooms
#

Keycard and fuse rooms depending on layout.

Surface Access Points
#

Limited exits back to the ocean with exposed surface approaches.

Because layouts are procedural, navigation awareness is critical.

Environmental Hazards
#

  • Oxygen management in flooded areas
  • Tight corridors limiting repositioning
  • Sound travel through enclosed modules
  • Limited escape routes
  • Open-water vulnerability when surfacing

Resource planning is essential, especially when traveling by submarine.

Strategy and Meta
#

Underwater Labs are strong mid-to-high tier progression monuments.

Key tactical considerations:

  • Clear methodically to avoid being pinched between teams
  • Maintain awareness of surface movement
  • Avoid predictable exit routes
  • Use vertical transition points for route control
  • Leave quickly after securing high-value crates

Surface control is often more important than interior control.

Preparation
#

Recommended essentials:

  • Full diving gear
  • Reliable mid-range weapon
  • Medical supplies
  • Extra low-grade fuel if using a submarine
  • Optional suppressed weapon for quieter clears

Clear methodically through vertical transitions to maintain safe route flow in deeper modules.

Underwater Labs are high-tier offshore monuments offering strong risk-to-reward potential. Their procedural layouts, vertical modules, and limited exits create intense encounters and valuable loot opportunities.
