Quarry

A compact industrial monument type that converts low grade fuel into sulfur, stone, metal, or HQM ore outputs.

Quarry

Overview
#

Quarry monuments are small industrial sites built around a powered extraction machine set into a stone pit. The central quarry machine is surrounded by exposed rock, a small utility hut, and a watch tower overlooking the site.

There are three variants of quarry monuments:

  • Sulfur Quarry
  • Stone Quarry
  • HQM Quarry

Each variant extracts a specific type of resource when powered with low grade fuel.

Layout
#

Quarry monuments share a similar structure.

Key areas include:

  • Quarry Machine: Central extraction unit that processes resources when fueled.
  • Metal Hut: Small structure near the quarry machine.
  • Watch Tower: Elevated platform overlooking the pit.

The monument is sunken slightly into the terrain, with rock walls surrounding much of the site.

Resource Output
#

When powered with low grade fuel, the quarry produces materials based on its type.

HQM Quarry
#

  • Consumes 360 low grade fuel
  • Produces 90 high quality metal ore

Sulfur Quarry
#

  • Consumes 360 low grade fuel
  • Produces 1350 sulfur ore

Stone Quarry
#

  • Consumes 360 low grade fuel
  • Produces 9000 stone and 1350 metal ore

Fuel must be inserted directly into the quarry machine to begin extraction.

Loot
#

Quarry monuments contain minimal crate spawns, usually limited to:

  • Brown crates
  • Barrels around the site

The primary value of this monument comes from operating the quarry rather than standard crate loot.

Quarry monuments are compact industrial sites that convert low grade fuel into specific resource types, depending on whether the location is a sulfur, stone, or HQM variant.
