Overview
#

Launch Site is the largest monument in Rust and contains the highest concentration of loot in the game. It is split into two major sections: the Launch Area and the Industrial Area, both enclosed within a large perimeter wall.

This monument contains heavy radiation zones and is patrolled by the Bradley APC.

Layout
#

Launch Site is an open complex with multiple entry points through broken perimeter fencing.

Launch Area
#

  • Static rocket structure
  • Rail-mounted crane with lifts
  • Four spotlight towers
  • Underground catwalk beneath the rocket
  • Oil barrel spawns around fuel tanks

The rocket itself cannot be interacted with but forms the central landmark of the monument.

Industrial Area
#

  • Main entrance area
  • Storage yards with containers and small buildings
  • Watch tower
  • Office building
  • Large factory building (main puzzle building)

The factory building is the largest structure and contains multiple internal floors plus a rooftop accessible via external ladders.

Infrastructure
#

Launch Site includes public utilities:

  • Recycler located outside near storage buildings
  • Research Table inside the office building
  • Small Oil Refinery under a spotlight tower

These utilities are permanent monument versions and cannot be destroyed.

Radiation
#

Radiation levels vary:

  • Moderate radiation across much of the monument
  • Extremely high radiation inside the factory building
  • Radiation continues to build even when wearing a Hazmat Suit

Additional medical supplies are required when looting inside the factory.

Bradley APC
#

The Bradley APC patrols the monument grounds.

It functions as a high-value environmental hazard designed to balance the loot available. It patrols the yard areas and engages intruders on sight.

Loot
#

Launch Site contains:

  • Barrels and oil barrels
  • Large wooden crates
  • Military crates
  • Elite crates
  • Hidden military crates in small buildings

Food crates are generally found near the outer edges rather than deep inside the site.

Elite Crate Locations
#

Elite crates can spawn in three main areas:

  1. Factory Roof Helipad - Near the destroyed attack helicopter
  2. Under the Rocket Catwalk - Accessible via fall-through opening or jump route
  3. Office Roof - Reachable via fence jump

Factory Building
#

The factory has six internal levels plus rooftop access.

Loot includes:

  • Military crate spawns across multiple floors
  • Elite crates on the rooftop
  • Military crates hidden in side platforms and sheds

There are multiple internal routes with several narrow transition points such as ladders and lifts.

To collect all loot, backtracking is required.
