Abandoned Military Base

A large enclosed desert monument with strong loot density and a unique MLRS launcher system.

Abandoned Military Base

Abandoned Military Base is a large desert monument enclosed by high sand-colored walls topped with barbed wire. The compound is fully self-contained, with defined entrances leading into a cluster of military-style structures spread across the interior.

The layout is procedurally generated, meaning the arrangement of buildings can vary from map to map. While the overall theme remains consistent, the exact placement of structures and loot containers will not always be identical.

A key feature of this monument is the MLRS launcher system located inside the compound.

Overview
#

Abandoned Military Base is a large, enclosed desert monument with varied building layouts, strong loot density, and the unique addition of the MLRS launcher system.

Layout
#

Within the walled perimeter you may find:

  • MLRS Launcher: A large rocket system mounted within the base grounds.
  • Helipad: A landing area positioned within the compound.
  • Barracks and Tents: Sleeping quarters and utility tents scattered throughout.
  • Mess Hall: A central building area.
  • Oil and Utility Pipes: Industrial elements running through parts of the site.
  • Electrical Pylons: Power structures inside the walls.
  • Entrances: Access points through the outer wall.

Because the base generates differently each time, some buildings may appear in slightly different positions or quantities.

Loot
#

Abandoned Military Base contains a high concentration of loot containers throughout the compound, including:

  • Military crates
  • Component crates
  • Standard loot crates placed inside buildings and around exterior areas

Loot is spread across multiple structures, encouraging a full sweep of the compound rather than a single building visit.

MLRS System
#

The MLRS launcher is one of the defining elements of this monument. It allows rockets to be fired toward targets outside monument protection zones.

To operate it, you will need:

  • An MLRS aiming module
  • Between 1 and 12 MLRS rockets

Once supplied, the launcher can be used to fire rockets at a chosen map location. Rockets can be intercepted by active SAM sites, so any operational defense systems near the target area will affect the outcome.

Aiming modules and rockets are typically found in high-value loot sources such as locked crates, Elite crates, APC crates, heli crates, cargo ship events, and oil rigs.
